Alex Wells, First Nations Dance and Cultural tradition’s has been his family’s way of life, and he was brought up through the cultural ceremonies. Traveling across North America since childhood competing in First Nations dance competitions that has brought Alex into making it a professional business and a way of life. Giving him the natural ability to teach the cultural dances step by step to all ages. Being part of major roles and world indigenous cultural events.
1995 to Present Performing for corporate events from around the world at Fairmont Hotel Calgary and Vancouver Banff Springs hotel, Banff donut huts Red Rooster lodge, Vancouver Convention Centre, Canada Place, Pacific Rim, Whistler Fairmont, Ottawa Conventions centre, Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre each of these shows are booked through corporate event Planners
1990 to 1999 Travelled with a professional native theatre group called Red Thunder, they performed at schools and children festivals theatres across North America and overseas. Produced and ran a dinner theatre, part of country music awards the tours lasted 2 to 4 weeks in various cities and provinces.
2000 -2005 Calgary Stampede performing for their half time show for the Rodeo, Alex helped produce and coordinate the night time show.
2010 Participated in performances of world events 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony and closing ceremonies
2011 Taiwan International indigenous Dance festival
2012 Ecuador performed for the Canadian Embassy
2013 London England Film festival and documentary on Indigenous performing arts
Alex has been in the position of representing Canada and First Nation’s People and has also had a page with National Geographic on cultural awareness and the importance of the cultural performances that he does.
